“Jesus is “ ‘the stone you builders rejected, which has become the cornerstone.’” Acts 4:11 NIV
I’m not a builder but I’ve always heard the cornerstone is the piece by which all the other pieces must align by. This will ensure a sound construction and not a wobble one.
I assume one could build without a cornerstone. Just laying bricks/blocks playing it by ear. This sounds unacceptable and certainly nobody would pay any decent money for a construction built haphazardly, specially here in Florida.
However many of us go through life just laying one experience on top of the other, pretty casually and with little guidance. We do have wishes of course, we wish our lives would XYZ, but we build it on a ‘whatever happens, happens’. This would be unacceptable and nobody would buy the kind of lives we build except for Jesus.
Jesus takes my BS life, pays full price for it, and now I have the option to use Him as my guiding principle. What a good God we serve!
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
