“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”” Acts 1:8 NIV
The disciples were instructed to wait for a special designation, a special power that was coming to them, the power of the Holy Spirit. They didn’t know what this new power was going to enable them to do/see nor the full reach of this power, but they knew right there and then what their job description was going to be on the spot: to become witnesses.
I was telling Tracy ‘WITNESS’ is in my mind and maybe one of my next tattoo (I have a few ideas), and the reason for it is that it’s so simple and yet so powerful. That’s what I’m called to do, that’s my job description, on the clock and off the clock.
It was my job description when we were 72h away from signing our house contract, it was my job description when an opportunist (a jackass IMHO) came and trounced the closing by putting a lien on the title out of spite to the vendor. It is my job description if they settle this dispute and we close on this house. It is my job description if we can’t close and need to start looking for houses again.
I am called to be a witness in all times, with all people, and in every place I’m in. That’s my job description and it is yours as well.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
