“At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.” John 20:14 NIV
I’m currently finishing my reading list for 2020 and one of the books is about mother Theresa and her life/philosophy. The book tells us when she was young she was visiting a poor city in India when she saw a lady laying by the sidewalk with many open cuts/wounds and literally being eating alive by street rats.
After seeing this she ran away but as she turned the corner she realized that person was Jesus she saw and couldn’t run away. Immediately she turned around, brought this person to 3 hospitals but none would admit a person with such conditions, so she rented a hotel room and cared for this person herself.
It is humbling to see this because in reality you and I both see people in need all the time and all around us. Some have physical needs, some emotional, but all have spiritual needs.
Let us today ‘see’ Jesus around us. Let us ask God to see what he would want us to see.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
