“Jesus answered, “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above. Therefore the one who handed me over to you is guilty of a greater sin.”” John 19:11 NIV
As I type this reflection I find myself days away from closing on a house for our family. Last time we purchased a house here in the USA was in early 2007 (yes, right before the bubble burst) so there’s that sour memory plus all the paperwork that closing requires.
Then we have the house we currently live in. It isn’t just any house, but a house we’ve been fortunate to pay rent under market value because it belongs to my mother-in-law. Yes, you know how money, favors, and family usually mix specially when is time to move on. Drive with caution.
Jesus told Pilates “You would have no power over me if it were not given to you from above.” In other words nothing really takes place outside of God’s sovereignty. Yes, we are the ones making our own decisions, but it is God the one who keeps turning water into wine, something out of nothing, breathing life into dry bones.
Today I take solace in knowing God is the one ultimately in control. Not the real estate market, the stock market, the IRS, etc. It is God the one on our boat bringing us to a better place time and time and time again.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
