Monica (current location: Madrid, Spain) and I (current location: near Miami, FL) met about a year ago via a common friend of ours. I first noticed her when she left a comment or two on a wedding video I made for my good friends Melanie + Ricardo, and instantly I knew she was a model. Not only is she a beautiful young lady, but her poses and images communicate fantasy, a sense of timelessness, and depth.
Ever since we became friends we talked about the day we would have the chance to shoot. Well, today this became a reality. How? Via the apple FaceTime app. Simply put, there's an option within FaceTime that allows one person to have control over the other person's camera, capture images, and the photos save directly in the iPhone/iMac of whoever is 'taking' the picture (in this instance, me).
The theme for this shoot was the struggle to find hope in a fallen world.
We came up with this theme a few days before the actual shoot and Monica happened to have a pair of black wings in her room which came in really handy while executing this concept!
All in all the shoot lasted about 1 hour and we came up with about 30 or so images which is pretty typical even for a regular photoshoot... so I'm MORE THAN HAPPY with the outcome. Here are some other pics we took as we were 'warming up':
Last but not least, I couldn't do this photoshoot by myself. Today my assistant was my faithful boxer dog Tyson!
Thank you SO MUCH Monica for trying this out and having fun in the process. You are amazing and yes, we still need to get together one day and hacer una session de fotos COMO MANDA!
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
