“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God— children born not of natural descent, nor of human decision or a husband’s will, but born of God.” John 1:12-13 NIV
I was not born in the United States of America. I am an American, but not by birthright. The process of my citizenship came not by any right of my own but by a process called naturalization in which my close association/kinship gave me the opportunity to file for citizenship. The process was long, expensive, and it required many interviews, tests, and after years in the process I get to swear in and call myself an American.
Now, if I’d have been born here none of that would’ve been necessary. Why? Because of the power of birthrights. Spiritually speaking we can gain spiritual citizenship so to speak and it doesn’t cost us much, nor it takes forever to become active. We gain spiritual birthrights by believing in the name of Jesus.
Yes, yes I know this opens a whole can of worms but that’s what the Bible says, not me. If we want to apply for heavenly citizenship we need rightfully so to be born again... and we only do that through faith, and faith in the name of Jesus.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
