“The Son of Man will go as it has been decreed. But woe to that man who betrays him!” They began to question among themselves which of them it might be who would do this. A dispute also arose among them as to which of them was considered to be greatest.”
Luke 22:22-24 NIV
The first sentence is alarming. The second is understandable. The third is pretty odd. Why would anyone start arguing about who’s the greatest right after Jesus shared one of them will be his betrayer?
I’m trying to find the logic. Let’s see, I think is you, or you, or you... how we I can’t be me because I’m this this or that... heck I’m the greatest! Could this have been the sequence? Pointing fingers and automatically feeling better about ourselves?
I think that’s my pattern. Perhaps not publicly, but my inner circle (family) knows I’m very critical... guess what I do right after putting people down? I prop myself up!
Let us take inventory when we feel puffed up... perhaps we just finished deflating others with our words, thoughts or actions.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
