“The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.” John 13:2 NIV
I’ve always heard about the inevitability of Judas’ betrayal, and from a all-knowing divine perspective, and now looking back, it makes sense to presented like that.
However when it was unfolding in real-time, it boiled down to something much simpler: a PROMPTING. it wasn’t a personality hijack that would’ve exonerated him from any wrongdoing, but giving in to a prompting that unchained a cascade reaction that ended up with the crucifixion of Jesus. A prompting.
Let us stay alert and watch how we respond to simple and seemingly inconsequential promptings. Regardless of how small of private, every decision made aligns with God or with the enemy of our soul.
