“You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.””
Luke 12:40 NIV
Very rarely, if ever, I think about the return of Jesus and/or my own mortality. But what if I lived today with the readiness for either or those two scenarios? Would I live my day differently?
My first pushback is ‘well, one simply can’t just stay at home hugging their loved ones like in the movies...’ but I think there are other options. Perhaps I’d work differently, with a different attitude. Perhaps I’d listen more attentively, and not waiting for my turn to interrupt. Perhaps I’d be more generous.
Jesus encourages us to live ready. To be aware of our time allowance could be up (literally) at any point. Let us live today intentionally.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
