“When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled. “Where have you laid him?” he asked. “Come and see, Lord,” they replied. Jesus wept.” John 11:33-35 NIV
Here’s one aspect that makes Jesus really special to me: his compassion. That word compasión literally means to SUFFER WITH. Jesus stands with us in the midst of the fire, navigates with us in the middle of the storm, and walk by our side in our moment of pain and sorrow.
Jesus was moved by the suffering of his friends to the point of even crying with them. He didn’t need to cry, specially since he knew how that particular story was going to end. But Jesus isn’t a fortune-teller, but a God-friend that lives with us in the midst of our pain.
Let us call upon the name of our God in all times. Nothing moves God more than pain coupled with our cry.
If I could give you a hug, hi5, or fist bump from here I definitely would. As long as you don't mind a couple typos here and there, you're MOST welcome to check in, drop a comment here and there, and make yourself at home.
